The jasper, derived from Greek “spotted stone” is a variety of chert (varieties of finely crystalline quartz). The first archaeological discoveries date back to the Hittites era.(Ramsis era). It is composed of fine metals for ornamental and gemology usage. The jasper was used for the intaglios and cameos. From ancient Egypt, archaic Greece, Phoenician and Etruscan.
